Outbound Sales Executive

Brief Description of Company & Job:
Ekm Systems is the UK’s leading hosted ecommerce solution provider. Our clients range from well known multi-nationals such as Lotus Cars, the BBC, PGA Golf, right through to SME’s, and Sole Traders.

Our main service is ekmPowershop, which is an online ecommerce software system which allows any business to setup their own online shop. We also provide web hosting, domain names, web design & development, search engine promotion, web statistics and various other services.

We are a rapidly expanding business and we are looking for a new person to join our team and help us make Ekm Systems even more of a success. The role requires hard work and dedication and comes with great rewards and opportunities for the future.

As a member of the Sales team you will be working as part of a wider team of Sales and Marketing personnel. You will be responsible for acquiring customers for our full range of products including ecommerce, web hosting, email, domain names and web stats software. You will be mainly responsible for selling our core product/service which is ekmPowershop – a market leading online based shopping cart solution. You will be responsible for identifying, contacting and acquiring new customers from outbound and inbound sales leads.

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Qualities Required:
We are looking for someone who has an affinity for sales and an interest in IT; working within a Sales and Marketing department. A team player that is confident in their own sales ability, with an enthusiasm for creating new business. This person will have an appreciation of good communication and will be able to acquire product knowledge quickly. The ability to self manage is essential and you should be a well self motivated individual.

Duties:
  • Outbound sales calls to develop and attract new customers
  • Managing and up-selling other products in our portfolio to existing customers
  • Maximising new customers form inbound email and telephone enquiries.
  • Attend trade shows, seminars and other events with our Marketing team to promote the ekmPowershop brand.
  • To fulfill any such duties that management may reasonably require from time to time

One full-time permanent vacancy.
9:00am – 5:30pm (Mon – Fri)
Location of Vacancy:
Blackburn, East Lancashire
Salary/Benefits:
£12,000 - £16,000 (depending on experience) + commission.
OTE £20,000 - £25,000 uncapped
